Advise required



Folks,
I am new to this alias, 3 years back I started running on Treadmill, I was
able to run around 3-4 Miles daily, I did this for almost 2 years
continuously, I got addicted, since last year I started getting pain on both
of my legs just above the heels or heel bone, there is some discomfort but
can't make out where exactly the pain is. Since then I have reduced it, but
I would like to start again and get train for Marathon. I almost stopped for
1 - 2 months and started again, the pain came back again. I consulted my
family practioner, he is not that serious and says shift to something else
like cycling etc, but I don't want to switch as I like running. I changed my
shoes, used the gel stuff, did RICE etc. Nothing is working.
Could someone in the same boat advice me any remedies.
