Jeff, the one good thing about the 301 that it has a rechargeable battery
that recharges off the mini USB port. I have mine plugged into the PC until
I need it, the battery is good for 13 hours approx. I know the problem with
aquiring satellites, can take a couple of minutes before 3 or 4 come into
view, find the best thing is to stand still and wait. Have not had any
problem with trees and buildings as of yet, all my runs so far have been on
open streets/countryside. One good plus side is the monitoring software that
will log and store your training details
