Yeah, that's a good one! But we don't know the answer. An old lady
might not be that quick anymore so she has to wrap up. And others
could me more mobile with less layers. My wife usually says 'Let's
hurry up, I'm cold!'.

I don't like holding a bottle whilst running. I want to feel free. But
when I see THEM I sometimes think, maybe I should take water with me?
Maybe I am the one that is not taking care of himself?

I agree with what you say about extremes, and also largely with what
Tim has said about drinking when you feel thirsty. On longer runs
however I don't wait till I'm thirsty. I will have a sip in regular 10
minutes.

Someone I know thought he had to drink as much as he could keep in. I
don't know how much he drank. But he ended up dropping out of his half
marathon, being physically sick (you know what I mean) and spending
the rest of the weekend in bed and under the care of his wife. His
mind had overwritten what his body had told him. All his training, and
then on the day he wanted to get it all right and drank for England.
