Tonester,

I bought the Comet one today as I was dissapointed that my Lidl didn't
have the cheap one that I had been banking on since last week!. Glad to
hear my reactionary purchase wasn't all that bad in others view. The
station has lot's of info, tho' only half is weather related, the rest
is sequential (time, moon, sun rise/set etc.).
I haven't checked the accuracy of temp and baro yet. I really haven't
quite fathomed the pressure setting. Not sure why I have to set a
relative or absolute. But it's looking good and a surprisingly large
LCD.

The person who suggested getting the Lidl telescope I would check the
magnification and then worry about lens quality.

Hi Higel I think the absolute and relative Baro setting is because you may live say 1000 ft above sea level affecting the pressure...

Absolute is what the machine thinks the pressure is at sea level so if you live say 500 feet above sea level it may well be 2-5 millibars higher....

Thats me thinking out loud theres a "uk rec weather" group.... I think they would know for sure...

all the best

P.s. my weather boys got his brolly out !!!!
