You,ll be popular on .555 being on an Island !! and there has been alot of skip even for FM mids recently.....Hi people, Been a long time since I used the usenet so excuse my lack of knowledge on that side of things.. Was trying to find out the whether it was worth the effort of dusting off the Radio & putting up an antenna this weekend. I recently got some gear off ebay but it's been a long time since I've gone near 27Mhz. When I left, there was one UK channel ( 19 ) everyone spoke over each other & played music. There were about 36 private taxi channels who keyed anyone who spoke on them & 40 mid block was un-usable due to continental skip. Oh & a handfull frequented 27.555 in between looking out of the window in case the RIS came.. So what's the story now?? has it changed since offcom came along?
