Ive just been to collect some photos from my local lab and the guy there

Almost cheap enough to "have a go". Ive never used MF at all, but looking on
Photosig (raises eyebrows and rolls eyes) the MF images ccertainly look
better than anything coming off the 20D sensor. Richer, deeper and just
better.
Or am I talking myself into something here?
Anyone got any experiences?
You would have to balance what appears to be a very low purchase cost
against the high cost of film, developing and printing - especially
the last two.
I still have a medium format outfit but it gets very little use. I
kept it in the hope that a reasonably priced 30+ MP digital back would
become available. I sold my 6x6 enlarger some time ago (still have a
35mm darkroom) so have to rely on expensive, slow and often mediocre
developing and printing at a commercial lab. The result is, as I
said, it gets very little use.
The 21 MP and 24 MP DSLRs from Canon, Sony and Nikon will blow a large
hole in what remains of the medium format film market. Medium format
digital has never really taken off, with the possible exception of the
Hasselblad H Series which is the best integrated system.
I tried a 16 MP back on my own camera but it was very much a bolt-on
back using the camera merely as a light tight box with a lens and
shutter. Hard work. At least the Hassy H3 feels as though it was
designed as a digital system.
