In article <1180226056.803543@athnrd02>, gpaleo
gpaleo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx says...
You asked for comments on whether the "200 warrants the premium over the
80".
My answer still stands exactly as it was stated.
If you had bothered to actually read it, you might have gained some insight
on the decision processes that real people use to, um..., decide on stuff...
"Warrants" implies subjectivity. My answer remains as was.
The 200 and the 80 are different animals. Only YOU can make the intelligent
choice, for YOU.
Maybe he wanted answers like "I thought feature X was great when I
bought it, but I never use it", "I wish I'd bought something that did
Y", "the batteries in P last much longer than the batteries in Q, which
is more important to me than R, S, T", "A feels plasticky, but it seems
to survive knocks just as well as B which is much heavier" ...
Having said that, the first result in a Google search for
nikon d200 d80
is http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d80/vs-d200.htm which seems to cover
everything pretty comprehensively.
Except then he goes and spoils it all by suggesting he gets better use
from a D40: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm
.
