Aren't there plenty of other urban myths like this, er, clearly identified and documented research ;) for us to learn some scepticism? Or do you have to embrace this so open-heartedly because it contains an element of nudity?
You have obviously decided that it IS an urban myth.

And you have obviously decided that it isn't ...

I would say that he is open minded about this, unlike your "I haven't heard about it so it's untrue" sort of mind set.

You would say he's open minded, because he chooses to believe in something that I can find no evidence of. Yet I'm close minded because
a) I choose to believe that it's an Urban Myth
b) I spent a few hours trying to find any reference that would prove me wrong.

however, after a couple
of hours of trawling search engines, I found absolutely nothing that suggests this research actually existed.

What does that prove, not everything gets caught by the search engine spiders, indeed some pages are actively prevented from being accessed by them.

Agreed, not everything gets caught by search engines ... but it wouldn't be particularly ground-breaking if it only appeared on one un-indexed site.

You would have thought that something as ground-breaking as this would have had a couple of mentions, wouldn't you?

No, not until someone like SKB wants to make official mention of it.

And when they do, I'll be sure to remember you and think, my goodness, he was right ... until then, I'll choose to believe that you're wrong and unable to perceive this thread as anything but a threat to your way of thinking.

As I have stated many times, I can see the logic of what has been suggested, and I have no problem with it ... I just choose to believe that it's something someone has said (amusing speculation), rather than something officially researched, especially as I haven't managed to find any reference to it.
