One of the items a lot of people have missed in looking at the BN 2004
& 2005 accounts is the loans a number of the officers made to
themselves using BN money. Outstanding such loans at 31.12.04 stood at
£2,683. After this was pointed up at the 2005 AGM, much to Mick Ayers'
embarassment and wrath (as he had a loan to buy a computer - yes the
Chairman of a national representative body didn't have a computer!),
they hastily made sure these were reduced to £507 at 31.12.05. However
these balance sheets are only a 1 day snapshot in time and no one
knows what happens inbetween - ouside the Treasurer & Chairman of
course, who happen to be the same person for the last year or so.
Interestingly, a loan was also made to Steve Thompson 'Official'
Photographer of BN to help him buy a camera, or so the 2005 AGM was
told. I am not suggesting that his appointment or his loan are in any
way associated with his being married to Pat Thompson, BN President.
Nor am I suggesting that the expenditure in the 2005 accounts labelled
as 'Photograper's Budget', amounting to £1,816 is in any way
associated either. (This compares with the RLO - responsible for
campaigning- with expenditure of just £928!).
Maybe the Original Poster (who by coincidence is also called Stephen),
when considering my motives for standing for Treasurer, might include
a consideration of the motives of those such as himself opposing it. I
couldn't be associated with a wish not to have an independently minded
professional poking about in the books to see just what goes on in the
closed world of BN could it, Steve, sorry 'Stephen'?

Are BN members to take your above statement Duncan that you think the above
members you have named, are in some way defrauding the BN. Your above
statement could be grounds for litigation.
I find your above post as your way of trying to demean the members you have
named. This is another reason why I don't think you and the other members of
the BN Change Group are the right people to be in charge of Administation of
BN. The amazing thing is the posters who have written in this thread in
support of your group, do the same thing and try and demean anyone who dares
to post an opinion that differs from theirs or seems to support BN, especially P
Knight and shown he often quotes wrong facts I don't take nor should anyone
take what he says as gospel.

4. Clearly 'Stephen' is a supporter of the current EC, as he bothers to air
his views rather than simply casting his vote. As he has had his ballot
paper to see whereas no one else has yet received it (I think) could it be
that he is indeed 'very close' to them? Or even one of them? Maybe one should
question Stephen's motives when reading his comments.

I have not received my ballot papers, however that does not stop me knowing
what will be asked, as it is plain to see on the BN Web Pages.
I made it clear in my original post that I have no connection to the BN
executive, however Duncan I have noticed if anyone does not agree with him
they must be on the executive or closely associated to them.
I am very pleased to see the level of support for the BN Change Group 4
posters so far and by reading some of their posts in the past I would not be
getting ready for office yet Duncan.
