That people like to have something to get exercised about, and the
content of films (videotapes, DVDs internet downloads etc.) is a nice
easy thing to get exercised about. Most of this concern (such a whether
there's any nudity in a film) is about pandering to their own hang-ups
and prejudices and not about "harm".

OR

you can't use the fact that people get all hot and bothered about films
to make any sort of point about the supposed "damage" that nudity can do.


Well that is your opinion, which of course you are completely entitled to
but the fact remains that some people are damaged by either public nudity
and in the case of film and TV, violence. Whilst I accept that these
people are in a minority they are very real people all the same - such as
those who have suffered sexual abuse, in the case of nudity, or those who
have problems (due to either immaturity or mental health issues)
separating fiction from reality. Perhaps you forget that the two children
responsible for the killing of James Bulger (sp?) in 1993 had been allowed
to watch violent films (and one film in perticular [1]), this was linked
directly to their action that ended up in the death of the two year old
boy.


I'd already mentioned adolescent who repeatedly watched films with extreme
violence so I had mentioned that point before you did.
But public nudity causing "damage"?, perhaps you'd like to provide a link to
the evidence?
