How often do you need to be told all this, Jerry?

Maybe he needs to be told again because perhaps he too is under the
misapprehension that 3 years earlier, on 7th June 2002, you said in
this very newsgroup that BN was in trouble:
".... At the current rate of loss BN has about 2-3 years left before
it goes bust, leaving no authoritative voice for
Naturism in the UK [snip] We need a new regime, not only to restore
BN's financial sanity, but also to stop being so inward looking, and
actually start promoting our chosen lifestyle."

And I was not far wrong.
In the 2 years 2003/4 BN made a deficit of £89k and the October cash crisis
of 2005 saw Bn nearly go bust. It got through the year end only by cashing
in its final svings bond, paying its bills late and hiking up membership
subs. This was a wake up call, which was heard enough to keep them afloat
(Mick Ayers stood down as Chairman & some economy measures were put in
place), but fundamentally BN has not changed its ways. Mick Ayres is trying
to get back in to the EC - this time as International Officer, hoping that
the balls up he made of everything might be forgotten in 1 year!
The rate of decline in membership has accelerated since then too.
If your Google is less discriminatory you'll find posts from me in more
recent years saying that I don't now think BN will go bust suddenly -
largely because they have been warned regularly by a lot of people (not just
me), but will continue to decline slowly. The financial malaise is more a
symptom of a wrong approach than the fundamental problem.
