So what if naturism was illegal? What if a law came in that expressly prohibited
nudity/naturism in specific places. For example; areas visible from public highways,
buildings open to the public such as hospitals, libraries, schools etc, public parks
and the like.
Such a law could make front garden nudity illegal (washing the car etc), but at the
same time it would imply that back garden nudity (in many cases) was legal. It would
make nudity in parks illegal, but imply that nudity on (many) beaches was legal.
Would a ban on nudity in certain places actually be of benefit to the furtherance of
naturism?
It *could* be, if it were taken to imply that naturism was legal
anywhere *not* banned, and if the ban were not so wide ranging as to
ban it anywhere not specifically allowed.
I think if such a law *were* introduced, it would almost certainly be
of the form which only permitted nudity where it was specifically
allowed, rather than banning it in certain types of place.
