I whole heartedly support you in your attempts to find solutions to
those issues, all I'm saying is that a (no pun intended) blanket
de-restriction on were nudity can be seen / practised would not work.
If there was such a de-restriction, ie. the 'High Street' nude, it
would allow a Perverts Carter - I'm in now way against greater
acceptance of nude leisure etc.
If we (as a society) are going to have rules about nudity, then we should
about nudity. The law should be clearly defined. But as it stands we (ineffect) have
(technically) complete un-restriction and therefore the restrictions whichare invoked
are arbitrary and based on prejudice alone. This is unfair on both thosewho see
nudity as a wholesome and natural state and those who may find itoffensive. I would
prefer it those who dislike nudity would come forward and have the lawchanged so that
they can have areas designated as clothing compulsory and free fromnudity. If that
means a total ban on nudity in shopping centres or on a public highwaythen I would
agree that it would be a fair trade-off for us to be allowed to otherwiselive our
lives without intervention from those who oppose us.
Well Andy you have a one track mind and seem hell bent on just what you
want!
We will leave this group and not bother with it any more as it is now
obvious to us that it is very biased, we shall indeed not bother with
naturism at all in this country as we do like people like you and your
friends dictating what the country should do just to suit you and a few
others, congratulations you have just lost a naturist couple through your
selfish one minded deeds and actions.
I'm wondering if Lisa and David are for real. That they find this group too
full of views they disagree with is quite possible and unsurprising. But to
decide not to practise naturism "in this country" because they don't like the
newsgroup? Did they practise it already? Do they realise that they can just
go to a suitable beach or club and the likelihood is that no-one they see reads
the newsgroup, let alone contributes?
