I have to agree. I have had a great deal of communication with Andrew and I
am sure he is doing a good job. Today his first e.mail response to me was
at 7am, his last at 6pm and all his communication was helpful and useful.
When I was a small girl my father managed a licensed members club. It was
very successful, he was very good at his job and worked hard, over long
hours. He used to sometimes get very frustrated that, no matter how hard he
worked, no matter how successful was the organisation, some people would
criticise him because he earned too much money. He used to say that he had
15 bosses (the committee) all of whom thought that he should earn less than
each one of them, even those that 'earned' nothing except handouts. I
recognise the same sort of attitude in many of these threads, and large
numbers of negative postings are from very few, very bitter people.
We have been members of CCBN for many years, we are loyal be nature. On
many occasions in the past we have been dismayed by backward looking,
negative, protective, secretive attitudes. CCBN needs to be out there, in
the media arena, with professional staff, competent in responding to every
eventuality in a timely and competent manner. We are fed up of being
represented by weird and wonderful do - gooders, no matter how well meaning.
Andrew is doing a great job. It's time the whingers and whiners moved on
to their own backward looking organisation. The rest of us welcome the
attempts to move naturism out of the closet. An increasing number of our
'textile' friends are becoming iterested and intrigued by the naturist
lifestyle. Even the activities of the naked demonstrators, the streakers,
the naked people in mainstream tv and advertising, in all their innocence,
are helping to dispell fears about naked bodies. Come on CCBN, participate
in the next National Holiday show, and have a hot tub (behind slightly
opaque glass blocks, of course) where the CCBN volunteers, and participants
from the show, can book in for a relaxing jaccuzzi. I think it was tried
with great success in Madrid, with a great deal of media interest.
Keep up the good work Andrew.
