Not of itself, no.

IIRC, the insurance would only be invalid in the case of an accident
where it could be demonstrated that the vehicle was not roadworthy,
and IIRC, even if you have an MOT, if the loss adjuster could prove
that the vehicle was not roadworthy at the time of an accident, the
insurance wouldn't pay up. I don't know of any instances of either
case, mind.
