As there are several of you here, has anyone done the 1 week crash
course thing?
you mean the 3+2 day thing where you can be a "Practitioner" by the
end of day 5? yeah, I've done it , and I think Blaney has too.

This is interesting.  I thought I'd be a cheap *** and just self-teach, but
that book is the most soporific book I own, and it's all just common sense.  I
mean, who'd have thought that you need to plan *** and allocate resources to
get a good result?  Perhaps if I did a course, I could burn the book..  Written
by cunts, for cunts.

A. is on good terms with Sue Vowler, who pretty much "wrote the book".
She's perfectly normal, actually.

Indeed. Now try and to the exam :(

ISTR it's multiple choice - not sure if it's a good or bad thing.

The "Foundation" exam, which you sit at the end of day 3 is multiple
choice. The "Practitioner" exam on day 5 is 3 hours of writing/drawing
diagrams.

I am interested in doing the course, I'm far from a TC, but I have
reservations about trying to get such management-bull***-speak into my brain,
which I know will resist.  Perhaps I should think more about the potential
extra money I could earn with it.

At least more per year than the course costs.

Generally, how much does this sort of thing cost?

Mine was about £1100 inc VAT.

Hmm.  *eyes NC30*

SPOCE charged me £1600 IIRC, about 3 years ago.
