I'm toying with the idea of upgrading the MoBo and CPU on my home PC.

I want it to:

1. be very fast (not too fussed about price)

If you want to future proof, then wait a little while as Intel are releasing
the X58 Chipset with the new Bloomfield Processors in November.

Have a look at the Intel board called "SmackOver" and couple it with one of
the new i7 processors.

The usual suspect apac suppliers will all have boards soon, I've seen
samples from Asus/MSi/Foxconn etc etc.
