The garage I got my disk bent at, then subsequently replaced by, have
asked for the old disk back. The trouble is that I asked the owner what
I should do with it after he paid for the replacement, he said that I
should keep it. This puts me in a spot, as I gave it to a mate, and he?s
chucked it out. The last thing the garage owner said to me, is ?. You?d
better get that disk back, because it?s mine. It?s worrying me, because
I woke up this morning thinking about it.
Should I just give him the scrap value for the disk (about 15 pence), or
just run away and not go back there?
I can't see what the problem is. The garage owner initially said you could
keep the disc, so you did.
If someone senior to him has given him a bollocking which is why he's
changed his mind, its his fault for telling you that you could keep it in
the first place.
Just tell him that you acted on the info he gave you initially, then found
the disc was unusable and binned it. And if he tries some sob story about
he's going to have to pay for it cause his boss told him to get the
original disc, well, its his problem, not yours.
FERITE!
