Or write for the specialist motoring press, mostly on the car side of
things. I just picked up a new-to-me publication[1] that really, really
needs a copy of MS word with a *working* spillchucker and some kind of
copy editor who can read without following the sentences with his
finger.
Call me a foreign pedant but I'm quite surprised just how much garbage
makes it into print these days.

TRC is horrendous. I've read some of their articles on aerodynamics and suspension, and I read some parts two or three times and still had no clue what the author was trying to say.
