if you try to compare yours against others its like asking 10 people how long a piece of string is. unless you get scientific testing regime in place (i.e. measured amounts of fuel for measured amounts of miles) under similar riding conditions with a similar riding style then figures are going to be way different.
my mpg went from 42mpg doing 3-figure speeds and hard acceleration, up to 59mpg
in wales when i was cruising around at 49mph and rolling the speeds on gently.
a 17mpg difference !
things that also make a big difference: acceleration sense of the rider, tyre pressures correct !,
ambient air temperature, brakes adjusted correctly so as they dont bind, wind direction and speed, computer weighting in place before its displayed?, yada yada yada...
