You're right. I don't think think people in wheelchairs
should get benefits either; after all, they get it easy,
right? Sitting down all day, being pushed around by
other people. Bet they don't even break into a sweat!
Why stop there? Why should fatties be allowed to get
treated by the Doc when it's their fault they eat so
much in the first place? And smokers too; it's all their
own fault so we should treat people of lung disease
either.
Ant, I don't think that's what he's saying.
What I think he's saying is that people shouldn't get *automatic*, non
means-tested benefits, purely for having kids.
And I have to say I agree. Means test child benefit, and then divide it
out among those who really *need* it, so fewer people, who really need
help, get more of it.
