Wtf does "any trial" mean, in the context of a classified ad for a
vehicle? Does it mean test drive?

I think it means they're happy for you to start the engine, check all
the switch-gear does what it should, open all doors or hatches etc.
check the lights and indicators etc. etc.

I take it to mean that, plus a test drive/ride, and independent
inspection if required. In other words, *any* trial within reason.
If I turned up to look at a vehicle advertised as "any trial" and I
was refused a test drive, I would be asking what version of "any" they
had in mind when they worded the ad.
