No, because the speed maintains a 5-5.5 meg line *sometimes*, for
periods of an hour or more. Then, for no apparent reason, it goes back
to anything between 1 meg and 20k, believe it or not.

Could be something your end: Timer-controlled equipment (you or your
neighbours), streetlamps, moisture in the drop cable etc etc.

I've been through *everything*; plugging in *one* thing at a time,
checking, waiting, adding ...

.... something ain't right, but for once it isn't Bear's fault.
