Advice like this really pisses me off - I don't know, nor care, what
OS and keyboard mapping you use, but why do you expect that everyone
else will have the same as you?

It's because I have a standard UK keyboard.

Cat lives in the UK because I've seen her so the chances are she's got
a standard UK keyboard too. If she had a standard French keyboard
then the accents are likely to be more easy to identify, no?
