This was after I'd labouriously entered the Reference number (only the
second time a reminder has actually had one), and clicked and waited
for the next couple of pages.

So, I've managed to tax a vehicle online, without problems or having
to dig out registration documents, exactly once to date.

Let's see if the phone service works...

Aaargh!

I tried to pay by debit card, then stumbled at the final hurdle: the
bloody 3-digit security code had worn off the card.

This after trying to get through three times.

Now paid by credit card.

One day, just *one* fucking day, I'll tax a vehicle without all this
palaver.

Well I'm sitting here with THREE new tax disks - all done online in about
three minutes. I think the online service rocks.
