Well, so much for that idea: after a couple of abortive attempts at creating a torrent, I figured out what I was meant to do, but now it always fails when trying to hash the files.

Apparently, the hard disk has bad blocks (which I knew already, but it doesn't seem to want to repair properly), and the firmware's out of date (which is an odd thing for Windows to complain about, but I guess it might be a symptom of something else).

Ummm... I could stick the whole series on to a couple of DVDs, if anybody's desperate for them?
