You are mistaken. Ecar/ebike comes with included breakdown service. It
covers UK only. The extra premium of £49 extends the breakdown cover to
Europe.
My bike policy renewal, on 2nd June, offers the same breakdown cover.
However. I'm jumping ships this year as CNash offers a better deal.
This is what they told me on my renewal notification email:
"Please note that, following customer feedback, UK Breakdown is no
longer included as part of your policy benefits. This has enabled eBike
to keep premiums lower. If you require UK Breakdown Recovery and
Homestart cover you can upgrade your policy when you renew for £39.90."
