What this means is that they didn't really want your bike (already had
too many 2nd hand bikes/limited floor space/cash flow
problem/whatever), so they made you a silly offer in case you were
stupid and desperate. It does not make them 'bad'.

But, offering someone a low figure for a trade in doesn't make him so.
