OT: Statistical analysis query

It's like this: Elly is writing her dissertation and there is heavy
reliance on a massive data set which is subject to statistical
analysis in order to produce some meaningful results. What she needs
to do is to take the next steps with it, involving PCA and then ANOVA
but can't get a handle on the extracted menas from the PCA.

Is there anybody out there who
a) knows what the hell I'm on about - and
b) can shed some light on it for her?

This is so far beyond my knowledge that it's over the horizon and
accelerating like a TGV on many lines of speed.
