Yee, and may I say, haw!
The Guzzi fried its alternator a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't *that*
surprised: I'd rewound it after it went pop about 3K miles ago but
some sharp edge that I could never find shorted the coils on the first
couple of tries, so I'd kind of half expected it to happen again, and
it did.
Well, I had a look on Ebay, just on the off-chance, and behold! There
was a Ducati 888/Paso stator that looked remarkably familiar.
Thirty quid (including postage) and a week later, I have a brand
spanking new alternator, still in its box.
Right chuffed, I am. It *almost* makes up for the ongoing TL fiasco.
