Oh FOAK,
I appear to have been hacked sometime in the last few days.
I run VNC (rather daftly using unencrypted passwords[1]). I assume that's how the buggers got in, I can't think of any other routes (PC sits behind a firewall in the router that passes traffic to the PC on port 5900).
The first clue was that I couldn't get in using my password, I got an authentication failure. Got home tonight to discover that something called "Psotnic" had been installed.
I've removed it, and cleaned the registry, so I think I'm OK. I'm now having fun changing loads of password.
Anyone got experience of this fucking thing?
[1] Yes, yes, lesson learned.

More likely they used an IE page or a viral email or similar. Unless you used a *really* silly password on either your router or your PC.

Don't think it was an email, I'm pretty careful with them. *Might* have been a webpage I guess.

Anyroadup, Norton Ghost to the rescue, recovered to a week back, and no sign of nasties.
