In the papers today there are various pictures of a yield of 90 odd
weapons that the Transport Police found on people coming out of Luton
station.

Now, whilst there are indeed some rather nasty looking items, in the
picture I'm looking at there are also :

3x pairs of plastic handled scissors.
1x dog lead
1x size 1 screwdriver
What appears to be a socket wrench
2x window breaking hammers.

It would appear my house is full of dangerous weapons.

I also find the confiscation of window breaking hammers utterly bizarre
- this was from people who had been travelling on trains - the same
trains that are notorious for not having these hammers available for
when you need them - the same hammers that were recommended for people
who were concerned about getting out of a train to carry with them.

Obviously it's a new method of acquiring free window breaking hammers by the
rail companies. The other confiscated items are merely taken as a diversion.

But now they're dangerous weapons - what a farce.
