I just double checked what my Vista can hold and it's 24mb!
I can fit almost all of Southern England in 24mb, therefpre I suspect
pretty much anywhere I'd ever want to go will fit on 128 - certainly
all of the southern UK, France, Germany etc.
I am still very tempted :)
Whilst I understand your temptedness, I'd just like to point out that the storage requirements vary depending on the mapsource product that you're using; the products with dynamic re-routing require more than the ones that don't.
<Forgive me if I'm wrong but...> I don't think that your Vista does real-time re-routing.
On my 2610, 512 Mb gives me all of the UK plus most of France, or everything south of Birmingham plus France and Spain using City Navigator.
I'd suggest that 128Mb would give you a lot less than you suggest :-(
