As for that lorry driver that gets twatted by a lorry popping
through the wall from the other side...

There is a slight time lapse in the film. The tunnel wall is solid so
nothing has come through it. One lorry is in the middle lane and the
second one is on the far right lane and is again going far too fast.

I've just found a slight flaw in my idea. If it is Russian, then they
drive on the right.

I think the accidents are a simple combination of the road surface
being in a completely *** condition, drivers being utterly useless,
speed and badly maintained vehicles. In other words nothing that
surprising. One other thing is that this black spot appears to be
after a bend but there is no clue as to how sharp it is - the lack of
visibility may also be a factor.

Reminds me of the Limehouse Link a little - a road I do not like at
all.

That's why there are cameras in it. Supposedly to slow people down.
