I can see your points of course, but no, this is a genuine new job. In
fact it is one that they should have had in place a long time ago.
Getting line managers to administer warranty is not normally the done
thing.
They know that a) I'm bloody good at warranty admin [1], and b) I
actually like doing it.
[1] blowing my own trumpet a bit I know, but I do have facts and figures
of past performance to back that up.
