Anyone know if the Dell reinstallation disks..

1. reinstall to a partition or to the whole disk [1]?
2. include the drivers for the system as delivered [2]?

[1] the drive is re-partitioned and I only really want to reinstall the C
drive
[2] or would taking out the video capture card before I start be a smart
move?

The core drivers will be on there. If they fitted the video capture card for
you and you *don't* have a separate driver CD for it, then the drivers will
be on the recovery disc. Personally I'd take it out anyway, then put it back
in after the reinstall has worked. One less thing to go wrong innit.

As for the partition size, try it. There's always one or two confirmation
steps before it actually starts reinstalling, so you should be able to find
out what it does, and whether you have the choice of zapping one partition
or not.
