You can't hear a 'square' wave, of any frequency
Feed a sine wave into your amp/speaker. Then do the same with a square
wave. If they sound exactly the same your amp/speakers and of
ludicrously low quality because they definitely shouldn't
Do try and keep up. I just said that it wasn't a square wave - there's
no such thing in nature. Yes, it'll sound different.
The digital sampling that a CD does can't take enough samples to
reproduce the mixed waveform, in fact unless it was filtered it'll
be worse than an LP because the bits of harmonic distortion it
does record will be reproduced as all sorts of random harmonic
distortion freqs.
Everything you know is wrong.
Well since you can't discuss anything without resorting to personal
insults, and don't even know what happens when you mix two sine waves,
there's no point in telling you anything is there?
You're just spouting the usual bollocks you find in hi-fi magazines.
Think bike magazines; MCN, for example, which can't tell the difference
between carbon fibre, and ceramic carbon composite. One you can make
MotoGP brakes out of, and the other you can't.
Audio mags are no different, hardly anyone writing for them has the
slightest clue how any of the technical stuff works, which means the
manufacturers can feed them any old bollocks about cables and
ultrasonics and whatever else, and rely on the placebo effect to get
them to swallow it.
