Re: Everything that can go wrong

I got Alford Bros. to get me a quote to completely fix up the ER-5 in
April when I threw it down the road but appear to have thrown the
piece of paper away. IIRC it listed each individual part of the
clocks and they added up to over £600 on their own (cost to fix whole
bike and clocks was just under a grand) but I might have it on a
spreadsheet somewhere. <rummage, rummage>

£166.51 Speedometer
£151.79 Tacho
£87.76 Meter Fuel
£43.92 Cover Meter Lower
£54.18 Cover Meter Upper
£57.29 Cover Meter Housing
£71.13 Speed and Tacho glass + pilot cover
£25.47 Bracket Meter

The irony is that that ER5 I saw at KP, when I tried to phone you, had
perfect clocks, and the whole bike was going for £450.

You could have robbed the clocks from it, swapped over any other bits
you fancied, and then dismantled the rest of the bike and made more
selling it piece by piece than you spent on buying it in the first
place.

I still think this would be a sensible move, actually. I know it's the
same advice as I've given a dozen times before, but that is because it
works.
