I think I'll certainly be getting one as soon as it's released. I want a PVR but want something that'll integrate perfectly with the cable so that rules out a home-brew.
This thing has three tuners apparently, so record 2 things and watch a third which sounds good. Prices don't seem too horrendous either, it's an extra 10 or 15 quid a month depending on your package, with no up-front cost.
I don't have to option of Sky(+) due to the lease on the flat.
Mucho!
As you say it looks quite good especially if you get the inbuilt TV guide, record and Series link type stuff you get with Sky+. When Sky+ started I was like "why would you need to record 2 things simultaneously" but it's a common occurance now so the ability to watch something else as well would be a bonus (Sky+ only let's you watch something you've already recorded).
I like the fact it's HD ready too. I've no interest in HD at the moment but I guess it's always best to be prepared for these things.
Free install for new customers as well which is an added bonus. Seems like Sky might have to do some bargaining come April, whcih they won't.
