The Karrimor quality was absolute.
My old rucksack is now twenty years old and £30. (Expensive at the time)
and is still good for two or three camping trips a year.

So on a pound per trip basis, it paid for itself after 5 years and is still
going strong.

Replaced the belt with a snap fit, replaced the zip in the top pocket.

My brother had a 'cheap' rucksack which lasted two years then was beyond
repair.

Try and get to an outdoors shop to 'see' the differences. It also helps to
try the different
frames for size and fit.
