Mine is a no-name one, cst 15 quid and has 7 ports. I didn't know what I
was looking for when I bought it and got a USB1 when I should have
bought a USB2, for the reasons Pip stated.

I have all my usb devices plugged into mine, it copes well eneough for
now, but I do get flashed warnings about USB2 devices in my USB1 hub and
how it would run better with a USB2 hub, so I'm going to buy a new one.
