Yep. PC --> Broadband router --> ADSL2 Modem.

Yes to all of the above. 192.168.1.111 as IP, 255.255.255.0 subnet,
router IP as gateway, Bulldog DNS servers as primary & secondary DNS.

I haven't tried pinging the above, but will when I get a chance to have
another play. I did however ping & tracert a couple of places such as
www.sony.com, & they worked fine. However the websites wouldn't load
using either the domain or IP.
Big but - Google loads just fine, & I can search in web, groups &
froogle no problem. However clicking any of the resulting links fails
miserably. Mozilla.com also loads. Just to clarify, this is a brand
new, clean install of XP, on a newly formatted drive, so it can't be
picking up anything from a cache.
