Yup - they (Tories, after promoting home ownership and practically
engineering the negative equity fiasco in the early 1990s) changed the
rules - the onus is on the mortgagee to take out protection insurance,
which is a hoot if you are self employed - costs the same, but you don't
get any unemployment pay-out.
