Are you suggesting that starving Russian serfs in 1917 could foretell what fate
would bring them 15 years in the future???

Well, I'm not aware that the Tsar kept statistics of the fates of his serfs, but
I'm sure a high percentage of those on the Goulag Archipelago didn't make it.
