Gentlemen,
I have been following this thread from the start and don't understand why
you haven't just put a gallon of two stroke petrol in the tank and ridden it
home, so much easier than lifting.

Looks like I may have found a short-bed Bantam to buy, (no
commiserations please..) but getting it here may be a minor issue.
I don't have a trailer but do have a transit.
I do have an engine crane, but too small a capacity at full extension,
and with the angled legs that have bugger all room at the tight end.
It would ideal to leave it on the stand to transport it, but I keep
thinking that semi-dismantling may be necessary.
So...is it easy to unbolt and dsconnect from the stand, bearing in
mind that switchgear etc is on the stand rather than the machine?
Lifting plate - I remember seeing these go across the top of the bed
with an eyebolt in, but where are they attaching this underneath?
Is it just inside the ways underneath the shears, or under the bottom
of the bed? And if it is inside the shears, would anyone out there
with a Bantam mind measuring the size underneath the shears?
Bearing in mind that the plate will probably be lifting on two lips
underneath the shears (I think) I need a fairly good close size to
ensure maximum contact area for the lower plate to slide into this
gap.
Alternatively, anyone who has a story of how fabulously easy these are
to move around please feel free to post <G>.
Peter
