had died of a cancer a few weeks ago.  He hadn't even told me...

It's not just you. To be honest, he's not been communicative with anyone for the last few weeks...

OK, here comes my joke (presuming you read from the bottom up)

I though he was suffering from Lib Dem Leader Syndrome until I knew what was really wrong.
