Mathematics is not a science, because it is not based on observation
but invention, and cannot be disproved by experiment. Depending on
viewpoint and purpose, it can be an art or a methodology.
History should be a science, because it should be based on the
application of logic to observation. It usually isn't because it,
er, usually isn't.
