Hi Julie

Be very careful with organic meat - especially pork and chicken - I
personally would never eat organic pork ( as opposed to free range)
because pigs are prone to parasitic infestation --round worms and
tape worms especially if they are rutting around all day in the earth -
if they are organically raised how can they worm them effectively?

I feel organic is often over promoted - organic is not neccessarily
healthy - sometimes animals need medicating to keep them healthy -
organically raised meat can't even be given anti-biotics when needed -
is that not cruel in itself??

If you're interested in farm animal welfare why not take a look at
compassion in world farming (CIWF) http://www.ciwf.org.uk
I am a member - have been for years

home grown veggies are fantastic - just remember they all have various
creepy crawlies - broccolli especially has nice tiny little green
caterpillers that hide until you steam them and they stick to the pan
gross LOL!
