Up until this spring I taught pony club stable care and I have to say
it is shocking what some of the kids feed!
I tend to follow the natural/endurance method: fibre, fibre and more
fibre.
So grass, hay, carrots and if he were a hard-working Arab, he'd be on
one of those high-fibre alfalfa chop bags too.
No straights or nuts.
His half-scoop coolmix in the morning is probably more for my benefit
than his as I like giving him breakfast and while he's munching I can
check him over.

... Erm maybe I worded it wrong I am not replacing the grass with hard ... and some hay. ... Then you need to add the bagged fibre which is easily available and easily ... When I was faced with a long list of feeds I can get folks when I started ...
