I would be interested. I have a rural house in Spain, along with thousands
of others.
Most folks use 1500 rpm diesels producing 5 to 10 Kw at 240v which is used
to power appliances and
battery chargers. In off peak hours, an inverter provides mains for 2 to 5
Kw.

The incremental cost of an inverter to run peak loads is not great.

It would make sense to provide a water cooled (exhaust included) system
running at low revs
and pushing out 24 volt DC for direct battery charging. The hot water would
be used for domestic
hot water, central heating and swimming pool heating.

Efficiency would then be much greater than existing setups and noise much
lower.

It would mean producing suitable alternators for 24 volt @ 200 Amps which
would give
'Start-o-matic' working and exhaust heat exchangers for the hot water.

As always, if the price is right, they would sell very well.

Pete.
